In order to minimize congestion in our parking lot during the afternoons, there will be a new car rider pick up location starting Monday, September 28th.

Car rider pick up will now be located at the back of the school, and students will exit the Ag doors. When entering the parking lot, car riders will need to turn right to enter the far right lane (along the football stadium) and loop around to the back parking lot. There will no longer be an area around the gym (on the West side of the building) for cars to stop. Please view the graphic for further details.

Thank you for your understanding,

SUBJECT: Action Required: Transportation Forms for Dual Credit & Co-Op Students

Dear Parents and Guardians,

If your student is enrolled in Dual Credit classes or participating in the Co-Op program and transports themselves to and from off-campus locations, we require updated documentation for the upcoming term.

To ensure student safety and compliance with school policy, please submit the following two items as soon as possible:

Completed Parent Permission Slip

Current Proof of Auto Insurance (copy of the active insurance card or policy page)

Please note: This requirement applies ONLY to students who drive themselves or ride with another student driver to their off-campus college courses or Co-Op placements. Students who utilize school-provided transportation do not need to submit these forms.

Submission Details:

Deadline: Oct 9, 2026

Where to Submit: Please have your student turn in physical copies to Rachel Stringer or email scanned copies to rachel.stringer@mclean.kyschools.us. Paper copies can be found in the office.

Students will not be permitted to drive off-campus for their programs until both documents are on file.

Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter. If you have any questions, please contact Tim Gates, head of our CCR at 270-273-5278.

Sincerely,

Marc Searcy

Picture Day October 20th
We still have several students that have not enrolled through OLR on Infinite Campus. OLR contains several important documents and agreements that you must review. One of the agreements within OLR pertains to technology use. This must be reviewed as soon as possible. If the OLR is not completed by Tuesday, September 8th, your student will lose access to their chromebook.

If you are having trouble with enrollment please contact Mrs. Eubanks at bridget.eubanks@mclean.kyschools.us or you can come to the school and we will assist you.

ATTENTION McLean County Cougar fans!!!!
Ticket prices for football and basketball (girls and boys) games will increase to $7 for adults. Students from our district will still be allowed into games for free.
Also, new this year, we will be selling season passes. We will sell a year round pass for $150 that will get you into all home games for every sport. This is not a family pass, it's an individual pass. If you purchase this pass, your name will be on your pass and is not transferable to anyone else. As well as a year around pass, we will offer season passes as well. We will offer a fall pass (soccer, volleyball, football games), winter pass (Girls and Boys basketball games), and spring pass (softball, baseball, and track). These passes will sell for $50 per individual. Again, this is for one individual and is not a family pass.
If you are interested in purchasing any of these passes, please contact Mr. Searcy or Coach Cook at the High School. Thank you and we look forward to seeing you on our campus supporting our Cougars!

The new law that went into effect on July 14 stating 18-20 year olds can conceal and carry weapons does not apply to government buildings. This means students cannot carry weapons on school property. Thank you

Just a clarification about the message for the Food Drive at MCHS. This will be ran through MCHS Youth Service Center. The YSC is always accepting donations and at this time now accepting donations of non-perishables. If you need food, please contact Sarah Thompson at MCHS 270-273-5278. Sorry for the confusion.
